On 18 December 2025, the Agri-Explore and Value Plant consortia came together at the Heide Campus of MLU for a cozy and science-packed Winter Retreat 🧪✨
Early-career researchers shared exciting insights into topics such as genome editing, drought resilience and plant–insect interactions in crops. 🌾🧬 We also learned more about two of the Biozentrum Core Facilities: Microscopy and Genome Editing and Plant Transformation. 🔬 Plenty of time was left for networking over coffee ☕ and a shared lunch 🍽️.
The day wrapped up with a joint general assembly, including a retrospective of 2025 and updates on what’s next. Thanks to all speakers and participants for the great science and discussions — we’re already looking forward to the next retreat in early March! 🌿❄️
