eLabFTW Demo Session – A Practical Introduction to Electronic Lab Notebooks at MLU

November 13 @ 12:00 - 13:00

Many researchers at MLU are currently exploring options for implementing electronic lab notebooks (ELNs) in their groups. While numerous software solutions exist—and helpful comparison tools such as the ELN Finder (https://eln-finder.ulb.tu-darmstadt.de/home )—not all options are free, secure, or allow on-premise data storage.

To support a simple and secure solution, the ITZ provides an MLU-only instance of the free, open-source ELN software eLabFTW (https://www.elabftw.net/ ). Several groups at MLU are already using it successfully.

As a starting point, SNP2Prot and Agri-Explore warmly invite you to an online eLabFTW demo session.

About the Session

Stephanie Krüger (Biozentrum, Microscopy Core Facility) and Joshua Kraft (Sinz-Lab) will present how they use eLabFTW in their daily research workflows. Their labs have diverse requirements, offering valuable insights into different use cases and practical setups.

The session includes:

  • Two 20-minute presentations showcasing real-world applications of eLabFTW

  • A 20-minute moderated Q&A for your questions about setup, features, workflows, and integration

Our goal is to help interested research groups understand the potential of eLabFTW and decide whether it could be the right ELN solution for their lab.
