Abstract
In planta transformation can enhance breeding efforts by overcoming limitations of in vitro culture based transgene creation and genomic engineering. By exploring plastid shape driven stress adaption as a breading target to enhance stress tolerance, the aim is to innovate at the same time on current in planta transformation protocols.
